Rain and snow in the morning gave way to sun and clouds, and an opportunity for a hike in the afternoon.
I had a destination in mind having searched my map apps, and it wasn’t that far either. Susan and I headed out and as we walked to a canyon rim, this cloud showed up. We brought rain coats in case of a shower, but we got was high winds and sleet in the face.
After walking a couple miles and almost being to our destination, we turned around and headed back.
We got soaked from the waist down and chocked the return up to a good attemp.
This shows that not all hikes work out. We never went back to check out the ruins we were looking for. There is always next year.
