Retirees with winter jobs

At the LBJ State Park I met a man and his wife from Minnesota who volunteer at the state park as interpretive staff of the working farm.  They come down for the winter and the state gives them a spot to hook up their motor home and they live free and work a few days a week and meet people,

I had a wonderful conversation with both him and his wife.  Both are easy going and were farmers back in Minnesota and fit in well.  This brought back memories of the man from Michigan at the tractor museum that goes to FL every winter and gives tours and discusses the history of tractors.

This is an excellent way to get away for the winter cut costs and do something fun and interesting in retirement.
