Then I thought of the tablet purification directions That specify that purified water should be sloshed in the rim to purify the edges. I also ran the UV light from the pen on the rim too.

BrentBrent’s Travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15567067726984425896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8411847840819033424.post-14409942163690533882017-11-24T07:06:12.192-08:002017-11-24T07:06:12.192-08:00Are you concerned that water on the edges of a con...Are you concerned that water on the edges of a container are not sterilized by the Steri Pen?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13056824402542968519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8411847840819033424.post-61519230471719846992017-08-30T10:44:01.659-07:002017-08-30T10:44:01.659-07:00Thank you for your question

The steri pen only kills potential bacteria as you suggest.

On trail hikes I use the steri pen to sterilize running water and since it only kills bacteria I end up drinking some sediment I guess, but with no problem.

If water is cloudy or fear sediment I have a small filter pump to take the sediment out first then use the steri pen to purify the cleaned water.

Regards

BrentBrent’s Travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15567067726984425896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8411847840819033424.post-18462962962725954632017-08-30T07:31:35.959-07:002017-08-30T07:31:35.959-07:00This is a brilliant idea, but just wondering, wher...This is a brilliant idea, but just wondering, where did all the dirt go? or does this purifier just kill the bacteria present in the water.
